The Avania collection is a range of dual-purpose, cotton prints that feature a diverse selection of hand-painted floral designs. Wild flowers, and natural foliage are depicted in a variety of artistic styles, with elements of classical fine art and modern textile design meeting throughout. The resulting collection is evocative of an artist’s journal of inspiration; a scrapbook of imagery celebrating the beauty of the natural world.

Wild meadow flowers in painterly watercolour arrangements sit alongside detailed ink drawings of tulip and chrysanthemum trails, inspired by still life master painters of the Dutch Golden Age. Large-scale impasto paintings of stylised flower heads appear like oil paintings on textured cotton canvases; and traditional floral prints, originally found in the Blendworth archives, have been modernised and printed on satin for a clean, contemporary finish.

Avania’s floral fabrics are complemented by a decorative fretwork design, inspired by elegant garden trellises, perfect as a co-ordinate, yet pretty in its own right. Colour palettes range from fresh, summery brights and chalky pastels to rich shades of oxblood and deep purple.
